Denny joined Rotary in 1981 in the Longwood Club where he served as President in 1986-87. In 2000, Denny joined the Rotary Club of Orlando where he was a Board member, Polio Plus Chair, Membership Chair and Fund Raising Chair. He has been club champion for sponsoring new members for the past 6 years.
Denny has served the District on many committees, which are too numerous to list. He was Chair for the Web Site Committee, Chair for the District Handbook, Chair for District Sports Programs, Chair for the Miracle League, Chair for the District Celebrity Golf Tournament, Co-Chair of the Extension Committee, a Director under PDG JoAnn Beck and aide to PDG George Huffman. In 2005-06 he was awarded the District Service Above Self Award.
Denny is captain of all 27 of the incoming District Governors for Zones 33 & 34.
Denny and his wife of 31 years Sharon live in Longwood. They have 3 children. Denny, Sharon and all their children are Paul Harris Fellows. He is also a benefactor and Sustaining Member of the Paul Harris Foundation.
His proudest Rotary accomplishment is that he has been awarded 8 Paul Harris Fellowships from the District and clubs he has been in.
