This committee will provide guidance and assistance to clubs in the district who are interested in participating in this Rotary program. Youth Exchange is a structured program of RI that gives youths between the ages of 15 and 19, an opportunity to visit or study in a country other than their own. All students must apply locally and be sponsored by a Rotary club in their community.
The RI Board has established recommended guidelines to assist clubs and districts in implementing their Youth Exchange activities (RCP 41.090).
The RYE committee will review and must approve all students sponsored by the clubs. No club may act independently of the district with regard to RYE as risk management efforts need to be implemented to prevent and/or respond appropriately to any alleged instances of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse involving program participants.
